Job Description: Warehouse & Distribution Manager (Shanghai) Position Title Warehouse & Distribution Manager – Shanghai Location Shanghai, China   Position Summary The Warehouse & Distribution Manager is responsible for overseeing end‑to‑end warehouse operations and distribution activities in the Shanghai region. This role ensures efficient inbound/outbound processes, inventory accuracy, transportation coordination, and compliance with safety and quality standards. The position leads a warehouse team, drives operational excellence, and supports business growth through continuous improvement and strong cross‑functional collaboration.   Key Responsibilities 1. Warehouse Operations Management Lead daily warehouse operations including receiving, put‑away, picking, packing, shipping, and returns Ensure operational efficiency, accuracy, and compliance with SOPs Optimize warehouse layout, storage utilization, and material flow 2. Distribution & Transportation Management Manage distribution planning, carrier coordination, and last‑mile delivery performance Monitor transportation cost, lead time, and service quality Resolve logistics exceptions such as delays, damages, and customer complaints 3. Inventory Control & Accuracy Oversee inventory accuracy through cycle counts, stock checks, and root‑cause analysis Ensure proper inventory handling, labeling, and storage conditions Reduce inventory discrepancies, aging stock, and operational losses 4. Team Leadership & Development Lead, train, and motivate warehouse supervisors, operators, and logistics staff Set performance goals and conduct regular evaluations Promote a culture of safety, accountability, and continuous improvement 5. Safety, Compliance & Quality Ensure compliance with EHS standards, fire safety regulations, and company policies Implement and maintain 5S, safety training, and risk‑prevention programs Ensure quality standards for handling, packaging, and delivery 6. Process Improvement & Cost Optimization Identify opportunities to improve warehouse efficiency and reduce operational costs Implement Lean, Kaizen, or automation initiatives Optimize labor planning, equipment utilization, and logistics spend 7. Cross‑Functional Collaboration Work closely with Supply Chain, Planning, Customer Service, Sales, and Finance teams Support new product launches, promotions, and seasonal volume peaks Provide operational insights and reporting to regional leadership 8. Data, Reporting & System Management Maintain accurate data in WMS/ERP systems Prepare reports on KPIs such as on‑time delivery, inventory accuracy, productivity, and cost Support digitalization and system upgrades   Qualifications Education Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Supply Chain, Operations Management, or related fields Experience 5–8+ years of warehouse, logistics, or distribution management experience Experience in e‑commerce, FMCG, manufacturing, or 3PL preferred Proven experience managing medium‑to‑large warehouse teams Skills Strong knowledge of warehouse operations, logistics processes, and inventory management Proficiency in WMS/ERP systems and MS Office Strong leadership, communication, and problem‑solving skills Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast‑paced environment Good command of English for business communication Personal Attributes Hands‑on, proactive, and results‑driven Strong sense of ownership and operational discipline Excellent teamwork and stakeholder‑management capability High integrity and commitment to safety and quality
