Key Responsibilities
1. Full-cycle Project Management
Lead the end-to-end project lifecycle for automotive component development, from concept, design, validation, SOP to mass production.
Develop and maintain project plans, timelines, milestones, and deliverables according to APQP/PPAP standards.
Ensure project execution meets customer requirements, technical specifications, quality standards, and cost targets.
2. Customer Interface & Communication
Act as the primary contact for OEM/Tier 1 customers throughout the project lifecycle.
Manage customer expectations, coordinate technical discussions, and ensure timely delivery of project documentation.
Support customer audits, technical reviews, and program updates.
3. Cross-functional Coordination
Coordinate internal teams including R&D, Engineering, Quality, Purchasing, Manufacturing, and Supply Chain.
Facilitate cross-functional meetings, track action items, and ensure alignment across departments.
Identify project risks and drive mitigation plans.
4. Technical & Engineering Support
Understand product design, manufacturing processes, and testing requirements for automotive components (e.g., electronics, plastic parts, metal parts, powertrain components, chassis parts).
Support DFM/DFMEA/PFMEA reviews and ensure engineering changes are properly evaluated and implemented.
Work with suppliers to ensure component readiness and compliance.
5. Cost, Quality & Timeline Control
Monitor project budget, cost breakdown, and engineering change impacts.
Ensure project quality gates are met (APQP, PPAP, DV/PV testing, SOP readiness).
Track project KPIs and report progress to management and customers.
6. Documentation & Compliance
Prepare project reports, risk assessments, and status updates.
Ensure all project documentation meets automotive industry standards (IATF16949, APQP, PPAP).
Support internal and external audits.
