APAC Finance Applications Lead (IT)

About the Role We are seeking an experienced APAC Finance Applications Lead to drive the strategy, governance, and delivery of Finance Technology solutions across the Asia Pacific region. This role is responsible for managing the Finance Applications portfolio, partnering with business stakeholders and global product teams to deliver scalable, innovative, and value-driven solutions that support business growth and digital transformation. The ideal candidate combines strong SAP Finance expertise with leadership experience, product management capabilities, and a deep understanding of Finance processes including Procure-to-Pay (P2P), Order-to-Cash (O2C), Travel & Expense (T&E), and e-Invoicing. Key Responsibilities Finance Applications Strategy & Leadership • Define and execute the APAC Finance Applications roadmap aligned with business and technology strategies. • Own the application portfolio and lifecycle management for Finance systems across the region. • Drive architecture decisions and application modernization initiatives while reducing technical debt. • Evaluate emerging technologies and identify opportunities to improve efficiency, compliance, and user experience. Product & Service Delivery • Lead a team of Product Owners, Business Analysts, and external partners to deliver high-quality services and projects. • Ensure stable operation, continuous improvement, and support of Finance applications across APAC. • Partner with global product teams to deploy and maintain enterprise-wide Finance solutions. • Drive Agile product management practices and establish effective governance models. Business Partnership • Act as the trusted technology advisor to regional Finance leadership and key stakeholders. • Translate business requirements into scalable technology solutions. • Build strong relationships with Shared Service Centers, Finance Operations teams, and business users. • Promote data-driven decision-making through analytics and reporting capabilities. Project & Transformation Leadership • Lead regional Finance transformation programs and technology initiatives. • Oversee project delivery from business case development through implementation and post-go-live stabilization. • Manage vendors, implementation partners, budgets, risks, and delivery performance. • Ensure compliance with security, audit, regulatory, and governance requirements. Data & Analytics • Support Finance Analytics initiatives through Power BI and enterprise reporting platforms. • Leverage automation, AI, RPA, and advanced analytics to enhance operational effectiveness. • Drive data quality and governance standards across Finance applications. Key Functional Areas • SAP Finance (FICO / S/4HANA Finance) • Procure-to-Pay (P2P) • Invoice-to-Pay (I2P) • Order-to-Cash (O2C) • Invoice-to-Cash (I2C) • Travel & Expense Management • e-Invoicing and Tax Compliance • Shared Service Center Operations • Finance Analytics & Reporting Qualifications • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Finance, or a related discipline. • 10+ years of IT experience with significant exposure to Finance applications and SAP Finance platforms. • Strong functional understanding of SAP FICO and end-to-end Finance business processes. • Proven experience managing enterprise applications in a multinational organization. • Hands-on experience leading application implementation, enhancement, migration, and support initiatives. • Experience with Agile methodologies and Product Management practices. • Familiarity with integration technologies, APIs, workflow automation, and RPA solutions. • Strong understanding of Finance data, reporting, and analytics solutions. Leadership Experience • Minimum 7 years of people leadership experience. • Proven ability to lead regional and cross-functional teams. • Experience managing internal teams, vendors, and external consulting partners. • Strong stakeholder management skills across Finance, Technology, and Shared Service organizations. • Demonstrated ability to influence senior leaders and drive organizational change.
