Job Description: Business Development – Energy Management   Company: Leading foreign-invested energy management company Location: Downtown Shanghai Report to: BD Director / Country Manager   Key Responsibilities   • Develop new business and client partnerships for total energy management solutions, with a core focus on cooling system management (chillers, HVAC, central cooling plants, district cooling, etc.)   • Identify, contact, and close potential clients and partners from target industries: commercial buildings, data centers, industrial parks, hospitals, high-end real estate, and mission-critical facilities   • Promote integrated solutions including cooling optimization, energy efficiency retrofits, energy monitoring, smart HVAC control, chilled water system management, and energy-saving performance contracts   • Conduct market analysis, client needs assessment, solution presentation, commercial negotiation, and contract closure   • Work closely with technical and operation teams to ensure smooth project handover and customer satisfaction   • Build and maintain long-term relationships with key accounts, industry partners, and decision-makers   Requirements   • Bachelor’s degree in HVAC, Energy, Mechanical Engineering, or related field   • 3–8 years of business development experience in energy management, HVAC, cooling systems, or integrated energy solutions   • Direct background or strong exposure to chiller plants, central cooling systems, or HVAC optimization is highly preferred   • Familiarity with target companies: Daikin, York, Johnson Controls, Ingersoll Rand, Honeywell, Caterpillar, Schneider, Trane, Carrier, etc.   • Excellent command of English (written and spoken); able to communicate with foreign teams and clients   • Proven track record in business development, client acquisition, and solution sales   • Strong communication, presentation, negotiation, and project coordination skills   • Proactive, result-oriented, able to work independently and under pressure
