BD SrD/ED

Sub-team leader within Hengrui’s Oncology BD team responsible for: o Out-licensing asset diligence across the oncology portfolio o Development of high quality written materials for out-licensing BD, R&D & clinical discussions o Identification & assessment of potential partners o Candidates with transaction experience would be expected to lead transaction execution in addition to diligence • Partner closely with R&D, clinical, commercial and senior leadership to translate scientific opportunities into compelling BD narratives What we’re looking for • 10–15 years’ experience in biopharma BD or strategy, or biopharma strategy consulting or investment banking • Strong scientific background preferred (PhD or MD a plus) • Experience in the following (deal sheet required for all profiles) o Direct licensing transaction leadership and / or Direct experience leading teams conducting therapeutic asset diligence for in- or out-licensing (Strong biopharma strategy consultants and investment bankers with relevant diligence / transaction experience are encouraged to apply) • Excellent scientific storytelling and slide-making skills, with experience of coaching others • Independent, proactive, curious and entrepreneurial, with strong team leadership and stakeholder management skills • Demonstrated team leadership experience, including managing, developing and coaching high-performing teams • Fluent in English Nice to have • Direct outreach / sell-side experience • Experience in pharma strategy consulting or investment banking
