Position Summary We are seeking an experienced Senior Buyer to support strategic sourcing activities and supplier management for direct materials and/or indirect procurement categories. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing sourcing strategies, managing supplier relationships, driving cost reduction initiatives, and ensuring timely delivery to support business objectives. Key Responsibilities Strategic Sourcing Develop and implement sourcing strategies for assigned commodity categories. Conduct supplier market analysis and benchmark industry best practices. Lead RFQ/RFP processes and supplier selection activities. Identify and qualify new suppliers to ensure supply continuity and competitiveness. Supplier Management Build and maintain strong relationships with key suppliers. Lead supplier performance reviews covering cost, quality, delivery, and service. Drive supplier development initiatives and risk mitigation plans. Manage supplier escalations and resolve commercial issues. Cost Reduction & Negotiation Lead annual cost reduction and productivity initiatives. Negotiate pricing, contracts, payment terms, and commercial agreements. Analyze cost structures and identify cost-saving opportunities. Support budget planning and cost forecasting activities. Procurement Operations Ensure timely procurement and material availability to support production and project requirements. Monitor and improve procurement KPIs including OTD, inventory, lead time, and supplier performance. Collaborate with planning, engineering, quality, manufacturing, and logistics teams. Support new product introduction (NPI) and localization projects. Compliance & Process Improvement Ensure compliance with company procurement policies and procedures. Support supplier audits and quality improvement activities. Drive continuous improvement initiatives within procurement processes. Maintain accurate procurement records and reporting. Qualifications Education Bachelor's degree or above in Supply Chain Management, Engineering, Business Administration, or related disciplines. Experience 5+ years of purchasing, sourcing, or procurement experience in manufacturing industries. Experience in multinational companies is preferred. Strong experience in supplier management and commercial negotiations. Experience with direct materials procurement is highly preferred.
