Implement and maintain EHS management systems, procedures, and programs.
Manage EHS documentation and coordinate regulatory submissions as required.
Conduct routine EHS inspections, approve Permit‑to‑Work (PTW) applications, and oversee contractor safety management.
Support internal and external audits, certifications (e.g., ISO 14001/45001), customer audits, and authority inspections; ensure timely CAPA closure.
Maintain and continuously improve ISO 14001 and ISO 45001 management systems.
Organize management system audits and coordinate Management Review activities.
Maintain compliance programs, including Safety Standardization, Waste Discharge Permits, hazardous chemical registrations, and emergency response plan filings.
Coordinate Sedex/SMETA social responsibility programs and related audits.
Track and verify corrective actions in SAI360, SymIMS, and other EHS systems.
Serve as the site administrator for SAI360 and other assigned EHS platforms.
Prepare and report EHS performance data to regional and corporate functions.
Support occupational health programs, including chemical risk assessments, ergonomics, and health surveillance.
Promote EHS awareness through training, communication, and employee engagement activities.
Support implementation of Symrise Golden Safety Rules and other corporate EHS standards.
Assist with incident investigations, root cause analysis, and corrective action implementation.
Job Requirements
Certified Safety Engineer Certificate.
Bachelor’s degree in Environmental, Health & Safety, Chemical Engineering, Environmental Engineering, or a related discipline.
Minimum 2–3 years of EHS experience in manufacturing, chemical, food, or related industries.
Good knowledge of Chinese EHS regulations, including hazardous chemical management, occupational health, environmental protection, and work safety requirements.
Familiar with ISO 14001 and ISO 45001 management systems, including internal audits, management reviews, and continuous improvement processes.
Experience in contractor safety management, Permit‑to‑Work (PTW), Management of Change (MOC), and incident investigation.
Knowledge of chemical risk assessment, occupational health programs, and hazardous chemical compliance.
Experience supporting regulatory inspections, customer audits, and third‑party certification audits.
Strong organizational and document management skills with attention to detail.
Good communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to work effectively across functions.
Proficient in Microsoft Office applications and EHS management systems (e.g., SymIMS, SymProve, or similar platforms).
Ability to analyze data, identify issues, and drive corrective and preventive actions.
Good written and spoken English and Mandarin skills.
Self‑motivated, proactive, and able to work independently in a fast‑paced environment.
