What You’ll Be Doing
● Prospecting and selling payments infrastructure into target sectors (B2B platforms, Travel, Global Distribution Services, E-commerce) with a primary focus on penetrating the Mainland China market.
● Leading end-to-end enterprise deals, navigating multi-threaded stakeholder landscapes (CFOs, payments teams, treasury, legal) to close high-value contracts.
● Driving market intelligence to identify untapped industry verticals and client segments in Mainland China where tech stack solves acute pain points.
● Designing bespoke commercial structures and translating technical constraints (liquidity, compliance, API integrations) into commercial terms.
● Partnering with solutions engineers to create custom demos, proofs-of-concept, and compliance documentation for clients in the region.
● Driving product roadmap input by synthesizing enterprise client needs from the Greater China region into actionable feedback for our global engineering and ops teams.
What You Need
● 7+ years of proven enterprise sales experience closing $1M+ deals, specifically in fintech, payments, or banking.
● Deep, demonstrable expertise in the Mainland China market, including the regulatory landscape, business culture, and key industry verticals.
● High commercial acumen and strong networks in China and SE Asia.
● Fluency in both Mandarin and English is required.
● Technical fluency: The ability to understand API documentation, liquidity models, and compliance frameworks—then simplify them for clients.
● Excellent communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to influence C-suite buyers, legal teams, and internal engineers.
● A practical and commercial problem-solving ability with a desire to align teams around a solution.
● A Bachelor’s degree.
Best If You Have
● Direct experience in cross-border payments.
● Experience selling into South East Asia.
● An existing network of C-suite and treasury-level contacts in Mainland China
● Comfort navigating ambiguity in emerging markets (e.g., regulatory shifts, currency volatility) while keeping deals on track.
● An MBA or technical/financial certification (e.g., CFA, FRM).
