Head of Legal

Develop and implement legal strategies to support business growth across Greater China. Serve as a trusted legal advisor to senior management, providing legal guidance, risk assessment, and practical recommendations. Lead and manage the legal team, fostering a high-performance, collaborative, and accountable culture. Support sales, manufacturing, and distributor operations by providing end-to-end legal support. Identify, assess, and mitigate legal and business risks in partnership with key stakeholders. Draft, review, negotiate, and manage commercial and strategic agreements. Support M&A transactions, corporate governance, and post-acquisition integration activities. Monitor regulatory developments and advise the business on new laws and compliance requirements. Partner with Compliance and cross-functional teams to ensure legal and ethical business operations. Support business development initiatives, investments, and strategic partnerships.

Qualified lawyer admitted to the China Bar. Minimum 10 years of legal experience; in-house experience in medical device or pharmaceutical industries preferred. Strong English communication skills, both written and spoken. Proven experience managing legal teams and influencing senior stakeholders. Strong commercial mindset with the ability to balance legal risk and business objectives. Familiarity with M&A, commercial contracts, corporate governance, and regulatory matters. Digitally savvy, with interest in leveraging legal technology to improve efficiency. High integrity, ownership, and accountability. Strong strategic thinking, problem-solving, communication, and negotiation skills. Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, matrixed, multicultural environment and adapt to changing regulatory requirements.
