Key Account Manager (Marine Survey & Certification | Leading Foreign‑Funded Classification Society) Basic Job Info • Reporting line: Reports to overseas management (foreign‑owned corporate environment, strong English proficiency is required) • Role type: Individual Contributor, no direct reports. Focus on key account maintenance and business development • Industry: Marine survey, maritime certification services Job Responsibilities 1. Manage key state‑owned shipping and ship‑management group clients. Engage senior‑level stakeholders and maintain high‑quality long‑term relationships. 2. Drive marine survey and certification business for existing key accounts. Primarily focus on account retention and stakeholder management (manage‑up capability), instead of hunting brand‑new clients from scratch. 3. Identify business opportunities within existing accounts, facilitate service delivery, address client business requirements and build stable communication channels. 4. Collaborate cross‑functionally with internal teams, collect and escalate client needs, and provide regular business updates to overseas management. Requirements 1. Background: Prior experience in marine survey & certification is highly preferred. Candidates from marine equipment or ship‑building & repair service sectors will also be considered, provided they have solid senior‑level connections within major state‑owned shipping groups. 2. Client resources: Proven familiarity with top domestic state‑owned shipping enterprises. Ideally with access to corporate‑headquarter‑level executives. Connections limited to subsidiary‑level contacts will be less relevant for this role. 3. Competencies: Strong key‑account BD capability, solid manage‑up skills, proven track record of managing state‑owned‑enterprise client relationships. 4. Language: Fluent English is mandatory for business reporting to overseas leadership. 5. Role setting: Individual contributor position, independently deliver key‑account business without managing subordinates.
