Position Summary
The KA Senior Manager is responsible for leading strategic key account management, driving revenue growth, strengthening customer partnerships, and delivering commercial excellence. This role manages major customers at the regional or national level, develops long‑term business plans, negotiates commercial agreements, and collaborates cross‑functionally to ensure high service levels and customer satisfaction. The position plays a critical role in expanding market share and achieving business targets.
Key Responsibilities
1. Key Account Strategy & Business Development
Develop and execute strategic account plans for major customers
Identify growth opportunities, new business models, and long‑term partnership initiatives
Conduct market and competitor analysis to support strategic decision‑making
2. Customer Relationship Management
Build and maintain strong senior‑level relationships with key customers
Serve as the primary point of contact for strategic discussions, escalations, and business reviews
Strengthen customer engagement through regular communication and joint business planning
3. Sales & Revenue Management
Achieve sales, margin, and profitability targets for assigned key accounts
Lead annual negotiations on pricing, contracts, rebates, and service agreements
Monitor sales performance, forecast accuracy, and pipeline development
4. Cross‑Functional Collaboration
Work closely with Marketing, Supply Chain, Finance, Operations, and Product teams to deliver customer solutions
Coordinate internal resources to support customer projects, promotions, and service requirements
Ensure alignment between customer needs and internal capabilities
5. Contract & Commercial Management
Lead commercial negotiations and manage long‑term agreements
Ensure compliance with company policies, pricing governance, and legal requirements
Manage customer terms, credit limits, and risk assessments
6. Performance Tracking & Reporting
Track key account KPIs including revenue, profitability, service level, and customer satisfaction
Prepare business reviews, performance reports, and strategic presentations
Drive continuous improvement in account management processes
7. Team Leadership (if applicable)
Lead and mentor Key Account Managers or Account Executives
Build team capability in negotiation, customer management, and commercial excellence
Foster a high‑performance, customer‑centric culture
Qualifications
Education
Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Sales, or related fields
MBA or advanced degree preferred
Experience
8–12+ years of experience in key account management, sales, or business development
Experience managing large strategic customers at regional or national level
Background in FMCG, retail, e‑commerce, industrial, technology, or B2B sectors preferred
Proven track record in negotiation, commercial management, and customer relationship building
Skills
Strong strategic thinking and business acumen
Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills
Ability to influence senior stakeholders internally and externally
Strong analytical and problem‑solving abilities
Proficiency in CRM systems and MS Office
Fluent English for business communication
