KD Parts Manager
Job Title- KD Parts Management (China)
Location – In China (Chery locations) / China Suppliers location -- AnHui WuHu
Job Purpose
To ensure timely, complete, and quality compliant supply of CKD parts from all Chinese suppliers, including Our technical partner Chery, by effective coordination, follow up, expediting, and communication between suppliers, logistics partners, and internal stakeholders in India & China,
Key Responsibilities
1. Supplier Coordination & Follow up with in China
• Act as single point of contact for all China based CKD/SKD part suppliers and Chery.
• Follow up on:
o Production Part readiness
o Parts availability
o Dispatch schedules & Coordination with FF or Shipping liners
• Track PO execution vs plan and proactively expedite delays.
• Coordinate with suppliers on engineering changes, part substitutions, and localization updates.
2. Interface Management
• Liaise with CKD/SKD operations, logistics team and 3PL for:
o KD kit structure
o Change management (ECR / ECN)
o Shipment sequencing and production planning
• Resolve issues related to:
o Missing parts, Wrong parts, Claim management
o Change mismatch
o Packaging or labelling non conformity & Corrective actions
3. KD Part & Packaging Control
• Ensure:
o Kit completeness (CKD as applicable per BOM)
o Correct packaging standards and validation at site
o Part identification, labeling, and barcoding
• Monitor:
o Kit breakup issues
o Shortage or excess parts
• Drive improvement in packaging optimization and damage reduction.
4. Logistics & Shipment Coordination
• Timely Coordinate with:
o Freight forwarders for timely deployment of containers and loading
o Supplier logistics teams and India team
• Ensure:
o On time stuffing
o Accurate shipping documents (Invoice, PL, COO, etc.)
o Compliance with shipment cut off dates & target Zero detention and Demurrage.
• Support HO team on vessel planning and shipment prioritization.
5. Ensure compliance with agreed quality standards and specifications.

6. MIS, Reporting & Escalation
• Prepare and share:
o Daily / weekly supplier status reports
o Shipment readiness dashboards
o Risk and issue trackers
• Early identification of risks and timely escalation to HO.
• Maintain strong documentation discipline.
7. Stakeholder Communication
• Act as communication bridge between:
o China suppliers & Chery
o India Supply Chain plant
o Quality, Engineering, Finance & Logistics teams
• Support cross functional alignment for launch, ramp up, and steady state operations.
