Lead Supplier Quality --KA for Electrical Vehicle

Lead Supplier Quality Company: Large top tier Indian conglomerate. New green field passenger car KD knock down project for India market, cooperating with Chinese auto OEM. Location: Wuhu, Anhui. Exceptional Shanghai based candidates may be considered, requires frequent business travel to Wuhu (key supplier is located in Wuhu). Headcount: 1 Experience: 7 10 years automotive industry Background: OEM / Tier 1 supplier background required; KD project experience preferred Job Summary Take full end to end quality ownership for KD components shipped from China to India. Responsible for process setup, part & packaging quality control, defect resolution and corrective actions, to avoid costly quality incidents after goods arrive in India. Remote enabled role requiring high self driven working style. Key Responsibilities 1. Own full quality management of cross border KD parts: monitor component and packaging quality of Chinese OEM and its suppliers. 2. Drive containment, root cause analysis and corrective actions for quality issues; safeguard quality of subsequent shipments to India. 3. Liaise and negotiate with Chinese partner & suppliers, translate India side requirements and push for effective issue closure. 4. Manage quality assurance for new onboard suppliers. 5. Apply standard automotive quality tools (8D, APQP, PPAP etc.); supervise junior quality engineer on execution. 6. Frequent on site alignment with suppliers in Wuhu and other locations. Requirements 1. Bachelor degree in Automotive / Mechanical / Quality related engineering. 2. 7 10 years automotive quality experience, must have past OEM working experience. KD project experience is a big plus. 3. Solid knowledge of automotive quality systems & problem solving methodologies. 4. Strong self motivation, independent delivery, negotiation & cross cultural communication skills. 5. Good English for meeting discussion & formal email writing (native level fluency not required). 6. Proficient in Mandarin; able to understand auto part technical terminology (ECU etc.
