Job Description
Lead and implement the company’s IPR and PBR strategy in China (approx. 50% of role):
Handle government relations and public affairs to support land access and operational compliance:
Support corporate branding and market communications in alignment with global teams.
Oversee corporate legal affairs in China, including dispute prevention and compliance monitoring.
Provide administrative leadership for daily operations including office lease, vendor management, business license renewals, seal and travel management, etc.
Act as key local legal liaison for global legal initiatives, ensuring China-side execution of global policies.
Job Requirements
Bachelor’s degree or above in Law; licensed to practice in China preferred.
5+ years of legal experience including solid exposure to IPR or PBR, ideally in agriculture, biotech, or life sciences industries.
Proven experience handling government interactions and land-related legal matters.
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both in Chinese and English.
Prior experience supporting both legal and admin affairs in a small-to-mid-size foreign enterprise is a plus.
Establish and maintain constructive relationships with local and national authorities.
Navigate land acquisition and usage matters related to nursery and production base expansion.
Manage all legal aspects related to plant variety rights (PBR) and coordinate with global legal/IP teams.
Oversee registration and enforcement of PBR/IP with authorities and external agents.
Draft and review contracts and legal documents related to PBR, licensing, and R&D collaborations.
