Job Summary
The Logistics Assistant Manager supports the overall logistics operations, including transportation, warehousing, order fulfillment, and process optimization. This role works closely with internal teams and external partners to ensure efficient, cost‑effective, and reliable logistics performance. The ideal candidate is detail‑oriented, data‑driven, and capable of managing daily operations while contributing to strategic improvements.
Key Responsibilities
Assist in managing daily logistics operations, including transportation, warehousing, and distribution activities.
Monitor logistics KPIs such as delivery performance, cost efficiency, and service quality.
Coordinate with carriers, 3PL providers, and internal teams to ensure timely and accurate order fulfillment.
Support logistics planning, routing optimization, and capacity management.
Handle logistics exceptions, including delays, damages, and customer complaints.
Analyze operational data and prepare performance reports for management review.
Assist in implementing logistics systems (TMS, WMS) and process improvements.
Ensure compliance with safety standards, regulatory requirements, and company policies.
Support cost‑saving initiatives and continuous improvement projects.
Provide guidance and support to logistics coordinators or specialists as needed.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business, or a related field.
3–5 years of experience in logistics, transportation, or supply chain operations.
Strong understanding of logistics processes, transportation management, and warehouse operations.
Experience working with 3PLs and logistics systems (TMS, WMS, ERP).
Strong analytical, communication, and problem‑solving skills.
Ability to work in a fast‑paced environment and manage multiple priorities.
Proficiency in Excel and data analysis tools.
