Logistics Manager

Key Responsibilities Logistics Operations Management Manage end-to-end logistics operations, including inbound and outbound transportation, warehousing, inventory control, and distribution. Ensure timely and accurate delivery of products to customers while meeting service level agreements (SLAs). Develop and implement logistics strategies to improve operational efficiency and customer satisfaction. Monitor shipment status and proactively resolve transportation and delivery issues. Transportation & Distribution Coordinate with carriers, freight forwarders, customs brokers, and third-party logistics providers (3PLs). Negotiate transportation contracts and service agreements to achieve cost savings and operational efficiency. Optimize transportation routes and shipment planning to reduce logistics costs. Monitor transportation performance and ensure compliance with company standards. Warehouse & Inventory Management Oversee warehouse operations to ensure inventory accuracy and efficient storage utilization. Implement inventory control procedures and conduct regular stock audits. Collaborate with procurement and planning teams to ensure optimal inventory levels. Drive continuous improvement initiatives in warehouse productivity and operational performance. Team Leadership Lead, develop, and motivate logistics and warehouse teams. Establish performance objectives and conduct regular performance reviews. Provide coaching, training, and professional development opportunities. Foster a culture of teamwork, accountability, and continuous improvement. Cost Control & Process Improvement Develop and manage logistics budgets and operational expenses. Identify opportunities for cost reduction and process optimization. Analyze logistics performance data and implement improvement initiatives. Support Lean, Six Sigma, or other continuous improvement projects. Compliance & Risk Management Ensure compliance with transportation regulations, customs requirements, and company policies. Maintain health, safety, and environmental standards across logistics operations. Manage logistics-related risks and implement contingency plans when required. Ensure proper documentation and record-keeping for all logistics activities. Cross-Functional Collaboration Work closely with Procurement, Planning, Sales, Customer Service, and Finance teams. Support new product launches and business expansion projects from a logistics perspective. Participate in customer meetings and provide logistics expertise to support business objectives. Qualifications Education Bachelor's Degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field. Master's degree is a plus. Experience Minimum 5 years of experience in logistics, supply chain, warehouse, or transportation management. Proven experience in managing logistics operations and leading teams. Experience working with third-party logistics providers (3PLs) is preferred. Technical Skills Strong knowledge of transportation, warehousing, inventory management, and distribution processes. Experience with ERP, WMS, TMS, and supply chain systems. Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and logistics reporting tools. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
