Principal Field Applications Engineer (FAE) About the Role We are seeking an experienced Principal Field Applications Engineer (FAE) to join a leading global semiconductor technology company. The company develops and licenses advanced computing technologies that power a wide range of products across automotive, industrial, consumer electronics, AI, and intelligent edge applications. As a key member of the customer-facing technical team, you will work closely with customers, sales, product, and engineering teams to drive business growth and secure strategic design wins. This role requires strong technical expertise, customer engagement skills, and the ability to translate customer requirements into innovative solutions across IP, silicon, and system-level technologies. Key Responsibilities • Identify, develop, and drive design-win opportunities for the company's products and technologies. • Understand customer technical and business requirements and recommend appropriate solutions. • Collaborate with sales, product, engineering, and support teams to close new business opportunities. • Build trusted relationships with customer engineers, system architects, technical leaders, and business decision-makers. • Lead technical discussions, solution positioning, and customer enablement activities throughout the design cycle. • Manage and support customer projects from opportunity identification through successful product launch. • Stay current with industry trends, emerging technologies, competitive landscape, and market developments. • Provide technical feedback and market insights to internal stakeholders to help shape future product strategies.

Qualifications & Experience Required • 5+ years of experience in the semiconductor industry. • Strong understanding of Physical AI-related technologies and applications, including areas such as: o Intelligent Cockpit / IVI Systems o Autonomous Driving o Humanoid Robotics o Edge AI Computing • Proven ability to influence technical decisions and drive business growth through customer engagement. • Broad knowledge of semiconductor ecosystems, SoC development processes, and supply chains. • Experience with system-level architectures and solutions for AI-enabled applications. • Strong problem-solving skills with a proactive, self-driven mindset. • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively across customer and internal teams. • Strong presentation skills and the ability to communicate complex technical concepts clearly. • Fluent in both Mandarin and English. Preferred • Experience supporting automotive, robotics, AI, or intelligent edge customers. • Familiarity with semiconductor IP, silicon platforms, embedded computing, or system architecture. • Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or related discipline. Education • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field required. • Master's degree is a plus. Travel Requirements • Ability to travel domestically and internationally up to 25% as business needs require.
