Procurement Manager

Key Responsibilities Strategic Sourcing Develop and implement sourcing strategies for assigned categories. Identify, evaluate, and qualify new suppliers to support business requirements. Conduct supplier market analysis and benchmark industry best practices. Drive cost reduction and value improvement initiatives. Supplier Management Build and maintain long-term strategic relationships with key suppliers. Monitor supplier performance in quality, delivery, cost, and service. Lead supplier audits, business reviews, and performance improvement programs. Manage supplier risk and ensure supply continuity. Commercial & Contract Management Lead price negotiations and commercial discussions with suppliers. Prepare, review, and execute purchasing contracts and framework agreements. Ensure compliance with company procurement policies and procedures. Support legal and finance teams on contractual matters. Cross-functional Collaboration Work closely with Engineering and Operations teams during new product introduction (NPI) and project execution. Coordinate with Logistics and Planning teams to optimize inventory and supply chain performance. Support continuous improvement projects across the procurement function. Procurement Operations Oversee purchasing activities to ensure timely delivery of goods and services. Monitor procurement KPIs and prepare regular management reports. Develop procurement budgets and forecast spending. Ensure accurate supplier master data and procurement records. Qualifications Education Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Engineering, Business Administration, or related discipline. MBA or professional procurement certification (CIPS, CPSM, MCIPS) is preferred. Experience 8+ years of procurement or sourcing experience, with at least 3 years in a managerial role. Experience in manufacturing, industrial equipment, automotive, steel, mining, energy, or related industries preferred. Proven record of supplier development and strategic sourcing achievements. Skills & Competencies Strong negotiation and contract management skills. Excellent supplier relationship management capability. Solid analytical and problem-solving skills. Knowledge of ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, Microsoft Dynamics, etc.). Strong stakeholder management and communication skills. Fluent English communication skills, both written and verbal. Preferred Background Experience managing categories such as: Mechanical components Electrical & automation Steel/raw materials Capital equipment MRO (Maintenance, Repair & Operations) Logistics & Services Experience working in a multinational company environment. Familiar with supplier management in China and APAC regions.
