Job Responsibilities
1. New Workshop Setup
Partner with the Plant Manager to establish a dedicated business unit, including tailored production lines, operational processes, quality frameworks, and material‑handling systems.
Build a comprehensive production plan aligned with sales forecasts and ensure consistent tracking and execution.
2. Profitability & Cost Control
Collaborate with the Sales Leader to secure Net Profit and Contribution Margin performance in line with corporate goals.
Oversee all production‑related expenditures and workforce costs to meet overall manufacturing cost targets.
Lead continuous improvement initiatives such as LEAN implementation and automation upgrades to boost efficiency, eliminate waste, and reduce labor intensity.
Optimize material utilization to lower total operational expenses.
3. Quality Excellence
Drive ongoing improvements in process and product quality to meet end‑user expectations. Ensure timely and accurate corrective and preventive actions with thorough follow‑up.
Strengthen daily operations through key quality methodologies such as DFMEA, CTQ, and related tools.
Promote a strong quality mindset across the organization and embed it into the company culture.
4. On‑Time Delivery
Work closely with production support teams to secure timely delivery performance.
Ensure production capacity aligns with demand forecasts and prevent losses caused by planning gaps, communication issues, material shortages, or quality‑related downtime.
5. Workplace Organization & Safety
Oversee people and environmental management to maintain effective 5S practices and ensure a clean, efficient, and healthy workplace.
Ensure full compliance with internal policies and external regulations.
Manage production safety, fire prevention, emergency preparedness, and employee health to maintain a safe working environment.
6. Cross‑Functional Collaboration
Maintain strong communication with HR, Finance, and other key departments, demonstrating the ability to reach aligned decisions through teamwork.
Coordinate effectively with customers and suppliers when necessary.
7. Leadership & Team Development
Lead and motivate team members to support their growth in alignment with organizational needs, ensuring the department evolves in capability and structure.
Demonstrate leadership qualities such as humility, openness to feedback, and strong execution.
Apply leadership tools including weekly planning, MWB, annual reviews, scorecards, and KPI management.
8. Additional Duties
Take full ownership of tasks assigned by the line manager, including responsibilities not explicitly listed above.
Uphold company values and contribute to building a positive, influential work environment within and beyond the department.
Experience & Education Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in a science or engineering field.
At least 10 years of management experience in manufacturing, including a minimum of 5 years in a production leadership role. Experience in production, cost control, quality, or logistics is preferred.
Background in furniture or durable goods manufacturing is a plus, along with familiarity with technology and continuous process improvement.
Strong English communication skills, both written and verbal, with solid presentation and summarization abilities.
