Position Title
Regional Category Manager – Indirect Procurement
Location

Position Summary
The Regional Category Manager – Indirect Procurement is responsible for developing and executing category strategies across indirect spend areas such as MRO, facilities, logistics, IT, professional services, and corporate services. This role manages regional supplier relationships, drives cost optimization, ensures supply continuity, and supports business growth through strategic sourcing and cross‑functional collaboration. The position plays a key role in aligning global procurement strategies with regional business needs.
Key Responsibilities
1. Category Strategy & Management
Develop and implement regional category strategies aligned with global procurement objectives
Conduct market analysis, spend analysis, and supplier segmentation to identify opportunities
Build multi‑year category roadmaps to optimize cost, quality, service, and innovation
2. Strategic Sourcing & Contracting
Lead sourcing initiatives including RFQ/RFP, supplier evaluation, and contract negotiation
Develop and manage regional framework agreements and long‑term contracts
Ensure compliance with procurement policies, legal requirements, and audit standards
3. Supplier Relationship & Performance Management
Manage key supplier relationships at the regional level
Conduct supplier performance reviews and drive continuous improvement initiatives
Mitigate supplier risks related to quality, delivery, financial stability, and compliance
4. Cost Optimization & Value Creation
Identify and execute cost‑reduction initiatives and value‑engineering opportunities
Conduct total cost of ownership (TCO) analysis and benchmark pricing
Monitor market trends, commodity movements, and category‑specific innovations
5. Cross‑Functional Collaboration
Partner with Operations, Finance, IT, HR, Facilities, and other stakeholders to understand business needs
Support regional projects, new site launches, and service transitions
Provide category insights and recommendations to senior leadership
6. Regional Governance & Process Improvement
Ensure procurement processes and systems are consistently applied across the region
Drive digitalization, automation, and process standardization
Maintain accurate category data, supplier information, and spend reporting
Qualifications
Education
Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Business, Engineering, Finance, or related fields
Master’s degree or professional certifications (CIPS, CPSM, Lean Six Sigma) preferred
Experience
7–10+ years of procurement experience, with at least 3–5 years in indirect category management
Regional or multi‑country procurement experience strongly preferred
Background in manufacturing, technology, FMCG, or industrial sectors is a plus
Proven track record in strategic sourcing, supplier management, and contract negotiation
Skills
Strong category management and commercial negotiation skills
Excellent stakeholder‑management and communication abilities
Analytical mindset with strong problem‑solving capability
Proficiency in ERP/procurement systems (SAP/Oracle/Ariba/Coupa)
Strong command of English for business communication
