Position Title
Senior Procurement Manager
Location

Position Summary
The Senior Procurement Manager is responsible for leading strategic sourcing, supplier management, cost optimization, and procurement operations across assigned categories. This role drives procurement strategy, ensures supply continuity, and delivers value through strong commercial leadership, supplier development, and cross‑functional collaboration. The position manages a procurement team and plays a key role in supporting business growth, operational excellence, and risk mitigation.
Key Responsibilities
1. Procurement Strategy & Leadership
Develop and execute category strategies aligned with business and operational goals
Lead and mentor the procurement team, ensuring capability development and performance excellence
Drive continuous improvement, digitalization, and best‑practice procurement processes
2. Strategic Sourcing & Category Management
Lead sourcing initiatives including market analysis, RFQ/RFP, supplier selection, and contract negotiation
Build and manage category roadmaps to optimize cost, quality, delivery, and innovation
Identify new suppliers, technologies, and sourcing opportunities
3. Supplier Relationship & Performance Management
Develop and maintain strong supplier partnerships
Conduct supplier evaluations, audits, and performance reviews
Drive supplier development, quality improvement, and risk mitigation programs
4. Cost Optimization & Commercial Excellence
Lead cost‑reduction initiatives and total cost of ownership (TCO) analysis
Negotiate pricing, terms, and long‑term agreements to maximize value
Monitor market trends, commodity movements, and cost drivers
5. Contract & Risk Management
Oversee contract development, negotiation, and compliance
Ensure adherence to procurement policies, legal requirements, and audit standards
Identify and mitigate supply, quality, financial, and geopolitical risks
6. Cross‑Functional Collaboration
Partner with Engineering, Operations, Quality, Finance, and Planning to support business needs
Support new product introductions (NPI), engineering changes, and major operational projects
Provide procurement insights and recommendations to senior leadership
7. Procurement Operations & Governance
Ensure accuracy of procurement data, pricing, and supplier information in ERP systems
Improve procurement KPIs such as cost savings, on‑time delivery, and supplier performance
Support process standardization and compliance across the organization
Qualifications
Education
Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Business, Engineering, or related fields
Master’s degree or professional certifications (CIPS, CPSM, PMP, Six Sigma) preferred
Experience
8–12+ years of procurement or sourcing experience, with at least 3–5 years in a managerial role
Strong background in manufacturing, electronics, automotive, FMCG, or industrial sectors
Proven experience in strategic sourcing, supplier management, and contract negotiation
Skills
Strong commercial acumen and negotiation skills
Deep understanding of procurement processes, category management, and supply chain principles
Excellent communication, leadership, and stakeholder‑management abilities
Proficiency in ERP systems (SAP/Oracle) and advanced procurement tools
Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills
English proficiency for business communication
