Job Description: Supply Chain Director Position Title Supply Chain Director Location (Insert location: e.g., Shanghai / Sydney / Suzhou / Global Operations Center)   Position Summary The Supply Chain Director is responsible for leading the end‑to‑end supply chain organization, including demand planning, supply planning, procurement, logistics, warehousing, inventory management, and S&OP/IBP processes. This role drives operational excellence, ensures supply continuity, and supports business growth through strategic leadership, data‑driven decision‑making, and strong cross‑functional collaboration. The position plays a critical role in shaping supply chain strategy, optimizing cost, and enhancing service levels.   Key Responsibilities 1. Supply Chain Strategy & Leadership Develop and execute the overall supply chain strategy aligned with business objectives Lead and develop a high‑performing supply chain team across planning, procurement, logistics, and operations support Drive continuous improvement, digital transformation, and best‑practice implementation 2. S&OP / IBP Leadership Lead the S&OP/IBP process to ensure alignment between demand, supply, capacity, and financial targets Facilitate cross‑functional decision‑making and scenario planning Improve forecast accuracy, service levels, and operational visibility 3. Demand & Supply Planning Oversee demand forecasting, supply planning, and production planning activities Ensure capacity alignment with business growth and operational constraints Manage supply risks and develop mitigation strategies 4. Procurement & Supplier Management Oversee strategic sourcing, supplier selection, contract negotiation, and supplier performance management Drive cost optimization, supplier development, and risk management initiatives Ensure compliance with procurement policies and global standards 5. Logistics & Distribution Manage inbound and outbound logistics, warehousing, and distribution operations Optimize transportation cost, lead time, and delivery performance Ensure compliance with trade regulations, customs requirements, and safety standards 6. Inventory & Materials Management Develop inventory strategies to balance service level, working capital, and cost Oversee material availability, safety stock policies, and inventory accuracy Reduce excess, slow‑moving, and obsolete inventory 7. Cross‑Functional Collaboration Partner with Operations, Sales, Finance, Engineering, and Quality to ensure seamless supply chain execution Support new product introductions, engineering changes, and major business transitions Provide supply chain insights to senior leadership for strategic decision‑making 8. Performance Management & Reporting Define and monitor key supply chain KPIs (OTD, forecast accuracy, inventory turns, cost savings, etc.) Implement data‑driven tools and dashboards to improve visibility and decision‑making Ensure operational excellence and continuous improvement across the supply chain   Qualifications Education Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Engineering, Operations, Business, or related fields Master’s degree or professional certifications (APICS CSCP/CPIM, PMP, Lean Six Sigma) preferred Experience 12+ years of progressive experience in supply chain, operations, or manufacturing At least 5 years in a senior leadership role managing multi‑functional supply chain teams Experience in manufacturing, electronics, automotive, FMCG, or industrial sectors preferred Proven track record in S&OP/IBP, procurement strategy, and logistics optimization Skills Strong leadership and people‑management capabilities Deep understanding of end‑to‑end supply chain processes Excellent analytical, problem‑solving, and decision‑making skills Strong communication and stakeholder‑management abilities Proficiency in ERP/MRP systems (SAP/Oracle) and advanced planning tools Strong command of English for business communication Personal Attributes Strategic thinker with strong execution capability High sense of ownership, accountability, and urgency Ability to thrive in a fast‑paced, complex, and dynamic environment Collaborative, influential, and able to drive cross‑functional alignment   If you want, I can also create: A VP of Supply Chain version A Supply Chain Manager or Senior Manager version A bilingual Chinese–English version A version tailored to your industry or company size
