Trade Compliance Expert

Lead and manage customs compliance activities for import and export operations across China and international markets. Ensure full compliance with customs laws, trade regulations, import/export controls, and related government requirements. Monitor changes in customs regulations, tariff classifications, duty programs, and free trade agreements, assessing business impact and implementing necessary actions. Serve as the subject matter expert on customs valuation, HS classification, country of origin determination, and customs documentation. Work closely with logistics, procurement, supply chain, commercial, and legal teams to ensure compliant cross-border transactions. Manage relationships with customs authorities, brokers, freight forwarders, and external service providers. Support customs audits, compliance reviews, investigations, and corrective action programs. Identify opportunities for duty optimization, process improvement, and trade compliance risk mitigation. Develop and deliver internal training programs to strengthen compliance awareness across the organization.
