Job Description
Key Responsibilities
Compliance Management
Assist in developing and implementing trade compliance policies and procedures.
Monitor import/export activities to ensure compliance with customs, export control, and trade regulations.
Support classification of products (HS codes, ECCN) and maintain accurate documentation.
Risk Control & Audits
Assist in conducting internal audits and compliance reviews.
Identify potential compliance risks and propose corrective actions.
Support investigations of trade compliance violations and prepare reports.
Documentation & Reporting
Maintain records of licenses, permits, and trade compliance documents.
Prepare compliance reports and assist in submitting filings to regulatory authorities.
Support preparation of training materials and compliance manuals.
Cross-functional Collaboration
Work closely with procurement, logistics, sales, and legal teams to ensure compliance in daily operations.
Coordinate with customs brokers, freight forwarders, and government agencies.
Provide guidance to business units on compliance requirements.
Continuous Improvement
Assist in implementing digital tools and systems for compliance monitoring.
Support training programs to raise awareness of trade compliance across the organization.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in International Trade, Business Administration, Law, or related field.
3+ years of experience in trade compliance, customs, or supply chain management.
Knowledge of international trade regulations (e.g., EAR, ITAR, customs laws, sanctions).
Familiarity with HS code classification, export licensing, and restricted party screening.
Strong organizational, analytical, and communication skills.
Proficiency in English and Mandarin preferred (for global operations).
