We are looking for a talented research scientist to work on our core large language model development. The role will build the LLM fundamental for Rakuten Group and power the product development. Position Details Continuously track and understand the latest research progress of large language models, including pre-training, fine-tuning, instruction fine-tuning, prompt engineering, multimodal large models, etc. Actively explore the combined application of large language models and various of application systems to solve practical problems in search, recommendation, agent and compliance use case. Cooperate with the engineering team to improve the efficiency of large model training, develop large model services, and improve the stability and scalability of training and services. Publish research results in top academic conferences and expand the influence of the team. Qualifications: PHD or Master with top AI conference papers in ML/CV/NLP are required; Excellent coding ability, data structures, and fundamental algorithm skills, proficient in C/C++ or Python, winners of competitions such as ACM/ICPC, NOI/IOI, Top Coder, Kaggle, etc. are preferred In-depth research experience in Machine Learning, with a particular emphasis on Large Language Models (LLMs) and Generative AI Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Preferred Qualifications Passion for technology, good communication skills and team spirit A strong publication record in relevant areas is a plus.
