Job Description
We’re looking for a seasoned Game Security Engineer to lead the design and implementation of secure systems that protect our game clients, servers, and live services from cheating, exploitation, and unauthorized access. You’ll play a key role in ensuring fair gameplay, investigating security incidents, and staying ahead of evolving threats in the gaming landscape.
Key Responsibilities:
	•	Architect and deploy secure frameworks to safeguard games against cheating, hacking, and unauthorized intrusions.
	•	Lead incident response efforts, reverse-engineer exploits, and implement remediation strategies to maintain platform integrity.
	•	Perform security assessments and penetration testing on game engines, backend infrastructure, and third-party systems.
	•	Collaborate with development teams to embed secure protocols, encryption, and anti-cheat mechanisms directly into game systems.
	•	Build tools and automation for real-time threat detection, analysis, and response.
	•	Monitor and analyze cheat communities to stay informed on emerging threats and tactics.
	•	Guide engineering and QA teams in secure development practices, threat modeling, and risk reduction.
	•	Continuously research and track new attack methods to evolve our defensive capabilities.
	•	Work with compliance teams to meet global data protection standards like GDPR and CCPA.
What We’re Looking For:
	•	A deep commitment to protecting players and maintaining fair play.
	•	The ability to perform under pressure and respond quickly to live threats.
	•	A security-first mindset with a proactive, collaborative approach to problem-solving.
Job Requirements
Required Experience and Skills:
	•	5+ years of experience in game security, cybersecurity, or anti-cheat engineering, particularly in live service environments.
	•	Strong background in reverse engineering (IDA Pro, Ghidra, x64dbg) and exploit analysis (e.g., memory corruption, remote code execution).
	•	Proficiency in C/C++ or Python for developing tools and performing code audits.
	•	In-depth understanding of network and encryption security (TLS, DTLS, AES, RSA, ECC) and DDoS mitigation strategies.
	•	Experience with anti-cheat solutions such as Easy Anti-Cheat or BattlEye, or with building custom detection systems.
	•	Familiarity with multiple platforms, including Android, iOS, Windows, macOS, and Linux.
	•	Knowledge of multiplayer security vulnerabilities and game engine frameworks (e.g., Unreal, Unity).
	•	Skilled in penetration testing, threat modeling, and vulnerability scanning.
	•	Excellent written and spoken English for technical communication.
