Role Debt Capital Markets (DCM) Head
Title Executive Director / Director
Job Description The Debt Capital Markets (DCM) Head is a senior - level executive responsible for leading and managing the overall activities of the DCM business (exclude ABS) within Client China NewCo. This role demands a comprehensive understanding of the debt capital markets, strategic acumen, and outstanding leadership capabilities to drive growth, enhance market position, and ensure operational excellence.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Strategic Planning and Business Development
• Devise and implement the long - term strategic plan for the DCM business unit, aligning it with the firm's overall corporate objectives. This includes setting clear revenue and market share targets, identifying new business opportunities, and formulating strategies to penetrate new markets and client segments.
• Foster relationships with key corporate clients, financial institutions, and government entities. Actively seek out and initiate discussions for potential debt - financing transactions.
Transaction Execution and Deal Origination
• Oversee the entire deal - making process, from initial client pitch to final transaction closure. Provide high - level guidance on structuring debt - financing solutions that meet clients' unique needs while considering market conditions and regulatory requirements.
• Lead the origination of debt capital market transactions, leveraging extensive industry networks and market insights. Evaluate potential deals, assess risks, and determine the viability of proposed transactions.
Team Leadership and Management
• Recruit, mentor, and develop a high - performing DCM team. Set performance goals, conduct regular performance reviews, and provide ongoing training and development opportunities to enhance the skills and expertise of team members.
• Promote a collaborative and results - oriented work culture within the DCM unit. Encourage cross - functional cooperation with other departments, such as sales, trading and risk management.
Market Analysis and Client Advisory
• Continuously monitor the debt capital markets, including interest rate movements, credit spreads, and regulatory changes. Provide timely and accurate market insights to clients and internal teams, enabling informed decision making.
• Serve as a trusted advisor to clients, offering strategic advice on debt financing strategies, capital structure optimization, and market entry/exit timing.
Investor Relations and Syndication
• Build and maintain strong relationships with institutional investors, such as commercial banks (prop and AM) asset managers, pension funds and insurance companies. Understand their investment preferences and requirements to facilitate successful debt - security placements.
• Coordinate the syndication process for debt offerings, working with other banks and financial institutions to ensure broad market distribution and efficient deal execution.
