We are seeking an experienced Facility Manager to lead all site facilities, engineering infrastructure, and workplace operations within a pharmaceutical manufacturing environment. The role is responsible for ensuring the safe, compliant, and efficient operation of all buildings, utilities, and supporting infrastructure, while maintaining full compliance with GMP, EHS, and regulatory requirements.
The successful candidate will oversee facility maintenance, engineering projects, utilities systems, contractor management, and continuous improvement initiatives to support both manufacturing and business operations.
Key Responsibilities
Facility & Engineering Management
Lead the operation, maintenance, and optimization of site facilities and infrastructure.
Ensure continuous and reliable operation of utility systems including:
HVAC
Cleanroom systems
Chilled water systems
Boilers and steam systems
Compressed air systems
Purified water and WFI systems
Electrical distribution systems
Fire protection systems
Develop and implement preventive and predictive maintenance programs.
Manage facility lifecycle planning and capital replacement activities.
GMP & Regulatory Compliance
Ensure facilities and utilities operate in compliance with GMP, FDA, NMPA, EMA, and applicable regulatory standards.
Support regulatory inspections, audits, and customer visits.
Oversee qualification and validation activities related to facility and utility systems.
Manage deviations, CAPA implementation, and change control processes associated with facility operations.
Ensure complete and accurate maintenance documentation and records.
EHS Management
Promote a strong safety culture across the site.
Ensure compliance with all environmental, health, and safety regulations.
Lead risk assessments, permit-to-work systems, and contractor safety management.
Support emergency preparedness programs and business continuity planning.
Participate in incident investigation and corrective action implementation.
Engineering Projects & Capital Investment
Lead site expansion, facility renovation, and engineering improvement projects.
Manage project scope, schedule, budget, procurement, and commissioning activities.
Coordinate with internal stakeholders, design institutes, consultants, and contractors.
Drive energy-saving initiatives and sustainability programs.
Vendor & Contractor Management
Select, evaluate, and manage external service providers and contractors.
Establish service level agreements and monitor vendor performance.
Ensure all contractors comply with site safety and quality requirements.
Optimize facility operating costs while maintaining service quality.
Budget & Cost Management
Develop and manage annual facility operating budgets.
Monitor utility consumption and maintenance expenditures.
Identify cost-saving opportunities through process optimization and energy management.
Support long-term CAPEX planning.
