The Logistics Procurement Manager will own strategic sourcing and supplier management for transportation, warehousing, customs, and 3PL services across assigned markets. This role requires deep logistics domain knowledge, strong commercial negotiation skills, and business‑level proficiency in Japanese or Korean to manage regional suppliers and stakeholders.
Key responsibilities
Develop and execute logistics category strategies covering inbound/outbound freight, warehousing, last‑mile, customs brokerage, and value‑added services.
Lead end‑to‑end sourcing: market analysis, RFI/RFP design, bid evaluation, negotiation, contracting, and onboarding.
Manage carrier and 3PL relationships including SLAs, KPIs, continuous improvement programs, and dispute resolution.
Optimize total cost to serve through freight consolidation, mode optimization, network redesign, and tariff management.
Ensure compliance and risk mitigation for Incoterms, customs regulations, trade compliance, and business continuity planning.
Partner with operations, supply planning, commercial and finance teams to align logistics procurement with service levels and promotional calendars.
Drive digital adoption and analytics by implementing TMS/ERP integrations, spend classification, and supplier performance dashboards.
Coach and develop junior procurement and category specialists.
Required qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, Business, or related field.
5+ years logistics procurement experience with proven ownership of freight, warehousing, or 3PL categories.
Business‑level proficiency in Japanese or Korean (speaking, reading, writing) required.
Strong track record in RFP management, commercial negotiation, and contract drafting.
Experience with TMS, ERP, eProcurement platforms, and Excel for spend analysis.
Preferred experience
Experience in e‑commerce, retail, or FMCG logistics environments.
Familiarity with APAC regional logistics networks and cross‑border customs processes.
Exposure to performance‑based contracts, KPI scorecards, and continuous improvement methodologies (e.g., Lean, Six Sigma).
Skills and competencies
