Key Responsibilities
Strategic Advisory: Act as the lead legal advisor, prioritizing the entity's long-term interests while structuring complex, high-risk strategic commercial agreements.
Regulatory Governance: Oversee the application and maintenance of essential regulatory licenses and establish robust compliance frameworks to ensure ongoing adherence to applicable laws.
Functional Oversight: Provide leadership for the Risk, Franchise, and Compliance functions, including the direct supervision of Anti-Money Laundering (AML) initiatives.
Operational Leadership: Manage and mentor a high-performing team, setting performance goals and facilitating local legal training to build organizational resources.
External Liaison: Lead communications with regulatory bodies and manage relationships with external law firms for specialized research and analysis.
