Senior Legal Counsel

Provide comprehensive legal support to supply chain and procurement teams, including global and domestic sourcing, vendor onboarding, and commercial negotiations. Advise on engineering and construction project matters, including EPC contracts, construction compliance, project delivery risks, and contractor management. Draft, review, and negotiate a wide range of commercial agreements, such as supply contracts, construction agreements, service contracts, and internal policies. Partner closely with business stakeholders to structure deals, mitigate risks, and enable operational and financial objectives. Provide timely, practical legal guidance to resolve day‑to‑day operational challenges across supply chain, manufacturing, and project execution. Serve as a trusted legal business partner, contributing to Tesla’s strategic, operational, and cost‑efficiency goals. Perform additional responsibilities as required to support evolving business needs.

Minimum 10 years of legal experience at a top‑tier law firm or reputable in‑house legal department, with strong commercial law background and extensive experience in contract drafting and negotiation. PRC‑licensed attorney with deep knowledge of laws and regulations relevant to procurement, construction, commercial operations, and dispute resolution. Strong experience supporting supply chain, procurement, or engineering project teams is highly preferred. Proven track record in dispute management, including negotiation, settlement strategy, and litigation oversight. Graduate of a leading law school with excellent academic credentials. Native Mandarin speaker with strong written and spoken English; ability to communicate complex legal concepts clearly to non‑lawyers. Overseas education or work experience is a plus. Exceptional attention to detail, strong analytical skills, and the ability to operate effectively in a fast‑paced, high‑growth environment. Strong stakeholder management and negotiation skills, with the ability to influence external partners and internal teams.
