Senior Marketing Manager (Synthetic Rubbers)
Leadership Experience Requirements:
Team Management: proven experience leading global marketing teams of 5+ members in synthetic rubbers industry including distant management
People Development: track record in talent acquisition, training, and performance management for technical marketing teams
Budget Oversight: experience managing multi-million marketing budgets in rubber sector
Strategy Implementation: successful delivery of marketing strategies for synthetic rubbers at divisional level with focus on APAC, LATAM and Russia
Cross-functional Leadership: experience working with sales, technical specialists, and analytics teams in petrochemical industry
Key Responsibilities:
Market Analysis: deep understanding of synthetic rubbers market dynamics, including China, APAC, LATAM, Russiaand global balance, and pricing model development.
Competitive Intelligence: Conduct a comprehensive analysis of the synthetic rubbers market environment and ecosystem.
Pricing Strategy: Perform historical price analysis for synthetic rubbers, identify key influencing factors, and develop price forecasts. Focus on improving pricing efficiency to increase sales effectiveness (i.e., reduce discounts) and enhance the quality of decision-making through intensive market engagement with producers, distributors, information agencies, and competitors.
Negotiation Support: Develop bidding strategies for synthetic rubbers sales.
Business Development: Identify new growth opportunities in synthetic rubbers segments. Work on improving product positioning and developing a service model in the region. Manage the sales funnel – expand and improve the quality of the client base. Develop business plans and strategies in collaboration with product leaders and export teams.
Required Qualifications:
Experience: 3-5 years in a leadership role in marketing or sales in the synthetic rubbers, petrochemical, or plastic manufacturing industries.
Professional Expertise: A strong background in business development, technical sales, or product management in the petrochemical sector.
Marketing Skills: Solid understanding of pricing strategies, market segmentation, positioning, and portfolio management for technical products.
Technical Knowledge: Expert understanding of synthetic rubber production processes and the overall value chain.
Language Proficiency: Native Chinese and strong business English skills.
Willingness to Travel: Readiness for business trips to APAC, LATAM, and Russia.
Schedule Flexibility: Readiness for periodic work aligned with the Russian time zone.
