Job Summary
The Director of Warehousing is responsible for leading the overall warehouse strategy, operations, and performance across the company’s distribution network. This role oversees multi‑site warehouse management, drives operational excellence, and ensures high standards of safety, efficiency, accuracy, and service. The ideal candidate is a strong leader with deep expertise in warehousing, automation, and large‑scale logistics operations.
Key Responsibilities
Develop and execute the company’s warehousing strategy, including network planning, capacity expansion, and operational optimization.
Oversee daily operations across multiple warehouse sites to ensure efficiency, accuracy, and service excellence.
Establish and monitor KPIs for warehouse performance, including productivity, cost, inventory accuracy, and fulfillment metrics.
Lead continuous improvement initiatives, including automation, digitalization, and process optimization.
Ensure compliance with safety standards, regulatory requirements, and internal policies.
Collaborate with supply chain, transportation, planning, procurement, and commercial teams to ensure end‑to‑end operational alignment.
Manage warehouse budgets, cost structures, and investment planning.
Evaluate and manage relationships with 3PL partners, equipment vendors, and technology providers.
Oversee warehouse layout design, equipment planning, and workflow optimization.
Lead and develop a high‑performing warehouse operations team, including managers and supervisors.
Support new business initiatives, product launches, and network transitions.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Operations, or a related field; Master’s degree preferred.
8–12+ years of experience in warehousing, logistics, or supply chain management, with at least 5 years in a senior leadership role.
Proven experience managing multi‑site warehouse operations.
Strong understanding of warehouse processes, automation technologies, and WMS systems.
Excellent leadership, communication, and cross‑functional collaboration skills.
Strong analytical and strategic thinking abilities.
Experience in fast‑paced industries such as e‑commerce, retail, or manufacturing is a plus.
