Korea Market Manager – Lifestyle Brand
Position Overview
The Korea Market Manager will lead the brand’s growth, visibility, and commercial performance in South Korea. This role owns the full EC ecosystem (Naver Brand Store, Naver Smart Store, Coupang, and other local platforms) while driving localized marketing strategies tailored to Korean consumer behavior. The ideal candidate combines strong e‑commerce expertise, hands‑on marketplace operations, and deep understanding of Korean digital culture, trends, and content.
Key Responsibilities
Korea Market Strategy:
Develop and execute the Korea market growth plan aligned with global brand direction.
Identify market opportunities, consumer insights, and competitive trends to shape product, pricing, and channel strategy.
Build annual and quarterly business plans with clear KPIs for sales, traffic, and brand visibility.
E‑Commerce Operations (Naver & Coupang Focus):
Manage daily operations of Naver Brand Store, Naver Smart Store, and Coupang (including Coupang Marketplace, Rocket Delivery, and Vendor partnerships).
Optimize product listings, SEO keywords, pricing, and promotional mechanics tailored to each platform.
Lead Naver Search Ads (Powerlink, Shopping Ads) and Coupang Ads (Coupang Sponsored Ads) to maximize ROAS.
Oversee EC content creation: product pages, detail pages, reviews strategy, and localized storytelling.
Coordinate with logistics partners to ensure smooth fulfillment, inventory accuracy, and on‑time delivery.
Track platform analytics and performance dashboards to drive continuous improvement.
Korean Marketing & Brand Activation:
Plan and execute localized marketing campaigns across Korea’s key digital channels:
Naver (Blog, Post, Café, SEO, PPC)
Kakao (KakaoTalk Channel, Kakao Ads)
Instagram, TikTok, YouTube
Influencer/KOL collaborations
Build and manage relationships with Korean creators, agencies, and media partners.
Localize global brand assets to ensure cultural relevance and resonance with Korean consumers.
Drive brand awareness through PR, seeding, partnerships, and community engagement.
Business Development & Partnerships:
Explore new EC channels (e.g., SSG, Gmarket, 11st) and negotiate marketplace partnerships.
Identify collaboration opportunities with Korean lifestyle brands, retailers, and cultural partners.
Support offline activations (pop‑ups, events, retail partners) when relevant.
Performance Management:
Own sales forecasting, budgeting, and reporting for the Korea market.
Analyze campaign performance, consumer behavior, and EC metrics to optimize strategy.
Present monthly and quarterly business reviews to regional/global teams.
Qualifications:
5+ years of experience in Korean e‑commerce and/or digital marketing, ideally within lifestyle, fashion, beauty, or consumer goods.
Hands‑on experience with Naver and Coupang operations and advertising tools.
Strong understanding of Korean digital culture, consumer trends, and content formats.
Native Korean speaker with strong English communication skills.
Data‑driven mindset with proficiency in EC analytics and performance dashboards.
Ability to work independently, manage multiple stakeholders, and thrive in a fast‑paced environment.
Preferred Experience:
Experience launching or scaling international brands in Korea.
Existing relationships with Naver/Coupang reps, influencers, or local agencies.
Familiarity with CRM, membership programs, and retention marketing in Korea.
