A leading multinational company with a strong presence in China and exciting growth opportunities is looking for a Legal Specialist to join its growing legal team.
This role will serve as a trusted business partner to support a wide range of legal matters across commercial operations, projects, and corporate functions. The successful candidate will work closely with internal stakeholders and external counsel to provide practical, business-oriented legal advice while helping the company manage legal and compliance risks effectively.
Key Responsibilities
Draft, review, negotiate, and manage a broad range of commercial agreements, including sales, procurement, service, distribution, NDA, and other business contracts.
Provide legal support on EPC projects, including contract negotiations, project execution issues, contract administration, claims management, and risk mitigation.
Handle pre-litigation disputes, claims, and dispute resolution matters, coordinating with external counsel when necessary.
Advise business teams on commercial, operational, and regulatory matters, balancing legal risk with business objectives.
Support corporate governance activities and ensure compliance with applicable laws, regulations, and internal policies.
Assist in the development and implementation of compliance programs, internal policies, and legal training initiatives.
Partner with cross-functional teams including sales, procurement, finance, project management, and operations to support business growth and strategic initiatives.
Monitor legal and regulatory developments and proactively identify potential risks and opportunities for the business.
Requirements
Bachelor's degree in Law or above; PRC Bar qualification is required.
Minimum 5 years of relevant legal experience, preferably gained in multinational companies, EPC/project-based industries, engineering, manufacturing, infrastructure, or energy sectors.
Solid experience in commercial contracts drafting and negotiation, EPC projects, and dispute resolution.
Strong business partnering mindset with the ability to provide pragmatic, solution-oriented legal advice.
Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with confidence interacting with senior business leaders.
Strong analytical skills, commercial acumen, and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a dynamic environment.
Fluent written and spoken English and Mandarin.
Self-motivated, proactive, and capable of working independently in a fast-paced international environment.
