Job Summary
This position is primarily responsible for advanced quality planning for new projects and products, establishing and implementing quality control processes to meet or exceed customer expectations. The role also drives defect prevention and continuous improvement to ensure the effective operation of the quality management system.
Key Responsibilities and Authorities
• Monitor product and process quality, and manage initial communication, negotiation, and follow-up for defective products.
• Prepare inspection instructions, record forms, and other related documents; complete weekly and monthly quality reports and conduct quality data analysis.
• Develop quality standards and provide training to inspectors.
• Participate in parts localization and engineering change activities.
• Monitor, evaluate, and analyze key quality indicators (such as Reject Rate, External PPM, Customer Complaints, FTNT, etc.) to enhance the effectiveness and efficiency of the quality control system.
• Conduct internal process audits and product audits.
• Handle customer concerns and complaints, and follow up on corrective and preventive actions.
• Issue complaints to suppliers and track resolution progress.
• Provide support and training to QS personnel on quality control processes, including roles, tools, tracking methods, standards, and responsibilities.
• Comply with all company policies and safety, environmental, and health regulations.
• Perform additional tasks as required to fulfill the overall purpose of the position.

Competency Requirements
The position requires the following competencies:
• Understanding of customer-specific requirements
• Knowledge of initial sample procedures (VDA2 / PPAP)
• Familiarity with customer portals and IMDS
• Proficiency in length measurement techniques using standard measuring equipment
• Understanding of VDA and MSA requirements for test equipment suitability
• Knowledge of statistical methods required by customers
• Understanding of APQP and Core Tools
• Familiarity with CAQ, CAD, CMM, Xpert, and MS Office software
• Ability to interpret technical drawings and related standards
• Understanding of customer-specific and internally defined special characteristics
• Knowledge of part-specific inspection equipment structure and usage
• Basic English proficiency
• Understanding of nonconforming product control processes
• Ability to evaluate forming product characteristics (e.g., flanging, burr formation)
• Ability to perform audits according to IATF and ISO14001 standards
• Understanding of PROMAS system
Qualifications
Education:
• Diploma in Mechanical Engineering or related field
Work Experience:
• 6–10 years of experience in the automotive industry quality department
• Minimum 3 years of experience as a Quality Process Engineer and in customer complaint handling
English:
• Good working proficiency
Computer Skills:
• Proficient in MS Office and quality statistical software
Other Requirements:
• Strong analytical skills, communication ability, and cross-functional collaboration capability
