Procurement Manager – CAPEX & MRO
Position Summary
We are seeking an experienced and results-driven Procurement Manager – CAPEX & MRO to lead strategic sourcing and procurement activities across capital expenditure (CAPEX) projects and Maintenance, Repair & Operations (MRO) categories. The role will be responsible for developing sourcing strategies, managing supplier relationships, optimizing procurement costs, and ensuring supply continuity while supporting business growth and operational excellence.
The successful candidate will collaborate closely with Engineering, Operations, Manufacturing, Maintenance, Supply Chain, Finance, and key stakeholders across the organization.
Key Responsibilities
Strategic Sourcing & Category Management
Develop and implement sourcing strategies for CAPEX and MRO categories to achieve cost, quality, and service objectives.
Lead end-to-end procurement activities including demand planning, supplier selection, RFx processes, negotiations, contract management, and supplier performance evaluation.
Drive procurement excellence through category planning, spend analysis, market intelligence, and supplier benchmarking.
Identify opportunities for cost reduction, process improvement, and value creation.
CAPEX Procurement
Partner with Engineering and Project teams to support capital investment projects.
Manage procurement of production equipment, machinery, automation systems, engineering services, utilities, facilities, and construction-related projects.
Ensure project timelines, budget targets, and technical requirements are achieved.
Lead commercial negotiations and contracting activities for high-value CAPEX investments.
MRO Procurement
Manage sourcing and procurement of MRO materials including spare parts, industrial consumables, maintenance services, tools, safety equipment, and indirect materials.
Ensure supply continuity and optimize inventory levels through close collaboration with Maintenance and Operations teams.
Establish strategic supplier partnerships to improve responsiveness and service levels.
Supplier Management
Build and maintain strong relationships with key regional and global suppliers.
Conduct supplier performance reviews and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
Identify, evaluate, and develop new suppliers to mitigate supply risks.
Ensure supplier compliance with company policies, quality standards, sustainability requirements, and regulatory expectations.
Cross-functional Collaboration
Work closely with Operations, Manufacturing, Engineering, Quality, EHS, Finance, and Logistics teams.
Influence stakeholders and align procurement strategies with business objectives.
Support organizational transformation and continuous improvement projects.
Qualifications
Education
Bachelor's degree or above in Supply Chain, Procurement, Engineering, Business Administration, or related disciplines.
Experience
8+ years of procurement/sourcing experience, with significant exposure to CAPEX and MRO procurement.
Experience in manufacturing, chemical, industrial, engineering, energy, process industry, or related sectors preferred.
Proven track record managing large-scale CAPEX projects and complex supplier negotiations.
Experience working in multinational environments with regional or global procurement responsibilities.
Demonstrated success in category management and strategic sourcing.

Familiarity with ERP systems such as SAP, Oracle, Ariba, or Coupa.
Experience managing procurement activities across multiple manufacturing sites.
Background in Lean, Six Sigma, or procurement transformation initiatives preferred.
