Strategic Sourcing & Supplier Management
Develop and implement sourcing strategies to support business growth and operational objectives.
Manage supplier selection, qualification, performance evaluation, and supplier development activities.
Lead commercial negotiations for pricing, contracts, and long-term agreements.
Identify and develop alternative suppliers to reduce risk and improve competitiveness.
Support localization and supplier consolidation initiatives.
Cost Reduction & Value Improvement
Drive annual cost reduction programs through VA/VE, should-cost analysis, benchmarking, and supplier negotiations.
Develop and execute procurement strategies that improve total cost of ownership (TCO).
Monitor commodity market trends and identify opportunities for cost optimization.
Project Procurement
Support new product introduction (NPI) and program launches from sourcing through SOP.
Collaborate with Engineering, Quality, Manufacturing, and Program Management teams to ensure project success.
Manage sourcing activities for new components, materials, and technologies.
Team Leadership
Lead, coach, and develop the procurement team.
Establish procurement KPIs and drive performance management.
Build a high-performance sourcing organization through talent development and succession planning.
Allocate resources and prioritize sourcing activities across categories and projects.
Risk Management & Compliance
Identify supply chain risks and implement mitigation plans.
Ensure procurement activities comply with company policies, quality standards, and regulatory requirements.
Support supplier quality improvement initiatives and business continuity planning.
Qualifications
Education
Bachelor's degree or above in Supply Chain, Engineering, Business Administration, or related disciplines.
Experience
10+ years of procurement experience within automotive OEMs or automotive component manufacturers.
Minimum 3-5 years of people management experience.
Proven track record in strategic sourcing, supplier development, and cost reduction.
Experience managing direct and indirect procurement categories is preferred.
Experience supporting new product launches and cross-functional projects.
Technical Competencies
Strong negotiation and contract management skills.
Knowledge of automotive manufacturing processes and supply chain operations.
Familiarity with APQP, PPAP, IATF16949, and automotive sourcing processes.
Experience with ERP systems such as SAP, Oracle, or equivalent.
Strong analytical and commercial decision-making capabilities.
